Headaches & Migraines

A study led by Dr. Rami Burstein at Harvard Medical School found that different colors of light affect migraine headaches in different ways.

While most light—like white, blue, red and amber—makes migraines worse, green light was found to be much gentler and caused far less discomfort. The researchers discovered that green light interacts with the eyes and brain in a way that is less likely to trigger pain. These findings suggest that using green light could be a helpful way to manage migraines.

“The visual effects of my migraine only lasted 20 minutes after I put the MiOptics glasses on. Usually, they last 45 minutes to an hour. And that’s without any medication."
