MiOptics patented Narrow Band Green Light (nbGL) technology provides relief for numerous symptoms and conditions. Our glasses filter specific light wavelengths to reduce neurostimulation and promote well-being. For optimal results, follow these condition-specific guidelines and adjust wearing time based on your personal comfort and symptom response.
Anxiety
Wear during anxiety-producing situations or prior to environments or situations that may trigger feelings of anxiety. Safe for wear during normal activities including watching screens and exercise.
Sleep
Wear three hours before bedtime. If using screens or lights during the night, put glasses on before exposure and remove after turning off lights. Introducing full spectrum light, including blue light from screens, may affect your circadian clock and delay the onset of sleep.
Migraines and Headaches
Wear during migraine-triggering situations or prior to environments or situations that may trigger a migraine or headache event. Wear at the onset of symptoms for 2–4 hours or until pain decreases by 50%.
Photophobia, Light Sensitivity and Digital Device Eye Strain
Wear when eye discomfort begins until symptoms or discomfort subsides. Helpful for heavy screen users, digital devices, outdoor activities and bright environments.
Travel and Jet Lag
Wear 3–6 hours before destination bedtime and consistently throughout your journey, including in airports and during flights. Follow your normal sleep routine at bedtime. MiOptics can also be worn to potentially mitigate travel anxiety and motion sickness.
Pain Management
Wear when pain begins for 2–4 hours or prior to or during pain-producing activities. Use during recovery periods as often as possible.
Visual and Contrast Enhancement
Wear to improve focus and contrast definition of edges and surfaces.
Concussion and TBI
Wear immediately after incident and frequently during recovery, especially during headaches or anxiety events for a minimum of two hours.
Neurological Conditions
Helpful for PTSD, Autism, ADD, ADHD and epilepsy when experiencing anxiety or visual overstimulation. Wear prior to, during (if possible) and after a seizure event.
Relaxation, Meditation, Yoga and Massage
Wear before, during and after meditation, yoga, or massage to enhance the calming benefits.
Motion Sickness, Nausea and Vertigo
Wear before triggering activities as much as possible. In severe cases, wear at the onset of symptoms for at least 2–4 hours or until the symptoms subside.
Neurological Disorders
For Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s, wear frequently to improve melatonin production, reduce anxiety and improve sleep.
